“In life, everything happens for a reason. The actions we take, the words we say, the ideas we believe; even the passions we relay through our art all have a reason. Most of the time, we do know the reason. However, when asked to explain this reason, the explanation is simple. “I did this because of A…B...C”.
This is not the same idea that is taken with my art. Creating a drawing, photograph or any art form is not just a sketch of character or a mockup of a landscape. Creation is emphasizing the emotions or ideals certain people may feel when observing at my art. If the character is calm, I want to enforce that serenity not only in the look they give, but in the details surrounding the character. Each line has a purpose, but that purpose does not mean it is limited to a specific form. Art is boundless, timeless, and can represent anyone and anything for any reason. This is not to say that the structure of art is flawed. However, when structure is in place, ideas are now set in constraints, and art is no longer demonstrating its full potential. Art has a unique opportunity to be a phenomenon for the century due to it being unpredictable”
